“Hammered Copper Shards” Create striking copper shards that will certainly add the “wow-factor” to your gourd art! Learn to anneal, emboss, hammer and heat copper and copper mesh to create a beautiful rainbow of colors.

Supplies to bring:    A wood burner, and a good quality dust mask and
  a mini jig saw (if you have one).
“Fancy Shawl Dancer” A fun design! Inspired by the Fancy Shawl Dancers at traditional Native American PowWows.
Materials Supplied:    Written tutorial, acrylic paints and "fringe".
Supplies to bring:   A wood burner and a mini jig saw
(if you have one). A sack lunch and a good quality dust mask.
“Gourd Paper Doll” Make a doll with paper made with "Gourd Guts".

“Carved Spirit Bear” A simple design packed full of techniques. Carving, patinas, metal and pine needle weaving. Woodburning, carving, cabochon inlay.

“Maiden” or "Mimbres Turtle"
Learn how to carve and inlay heishi.

"Tipi" Learn how to carve and create a "Tipi Camp".
Materials Supplied:  Written tutorial, paints, a clean gourd

"Sweet Maiden"
Create a sweet little Maiden

Materials Supplied:  Tutorial, wire, paint and necessary tools.
Required Materials: A wood burner.  Paint brushes will be provided, but if you have favorite ones, please bring them.
Crushed Glass Inlay***   A simple and quick technique that is very eye catching.  Learn how to inlay crushed glass.

"Rock Art Impressions" Create the look of Indian Rock Art on a gourd
using easy impression techniques. Inlay a string of heishi and use TransTint dyes.
You will create a stunning gourd that will have everyone asking “How did you do that?”

"Desert Treasure Montage" Create a Desert Treasure Montage crafted onto a small easel backed board suitable to hang on the wall or adorn a tabletop. You may choose to create either a Mask or Pot. Learn how to emboss copper as well as shape it into a different kind of embellishment. Wood burning & applying patinas (that really work!) are just few of the processes you will use in the technique-filled class.
